Our Story
IvyMentor was founded in 2020 by a group of Ivy League and Oxbridge graduates who recognized a fundamental problem in college admissions: access to quality guidance was unevenly distributed, favoring those with existing connections to elite institutions.
Having navigated the complex admissions process themselves, our founders understood the challenges faced by students without access to specialized guidance. They built IvyMentor to bridge this gap, creating a platform where knowledge, strategies, and personalized mentorship could be accessible to talented students regardless of background.
Today, IvyMentor has helped thousands of students gain admission to top universities worldwide, with a particular focus on supporting first-generation college students and those from underrepresented communities.

Our Mentorship Approach
What makes IvyMentor different from traditional college counseling
Peer-to-Peer Connection
Our mentors are recent graduates who have fresh, relevant experience with the current admissions landscape, creating relatable connections with students.
Holistic Development
We focus on the whole student, not just their application. Our mentors help develop academic skills, extracurricular strategies, and personal growth.
Authentic Storytelling
We help students discover and articulate their unique stories and strengths, rather than trying to fit them into a predetermined mold.
University-Specific Insights
Our mentors provide insider knowledge about specific universities, departments, and programs, helping students tailor their applications effectively.
